How to Sell Your Self-Published Books

How to Sell Your Self-Published Books

1. You’ve self-published a book. Now what?

Self-publishing has become more of a norm these days than not, allowing authors the flexibility and creative freedom (not to mention royalties) they desire.

Millions of books are published each year, and most of them (you guess it) are self-published. That’s a lot of books, and that’s a lot of authors. The problem: how to get your book into the hands of your readers?

Maybe you've tried selling in local stores. Remember that euphoric feeling of handing over your book, your "pride and joy," only to see it sitting on the shelf unmoved and collecting dust is frustrating to say the least.

What other options are there?

2. Traditional online platforms

While places like Amazon KDP, and Draft2Digital help get your book on the market, they might not be enough. Your dream of reaching readers may be limited through competition and limited options, not to mention a significant cut of your profits.
