New Year, New Book! The Benefits of Reading

It’s that time of year when we reflect on the year behind us—the good and the bad, the blessings and the challenges. It’s also the season for setting goals for the year ahead. And what better goal could there be than reading more books? Well, that’s my goal anyway.

According to Healthline, reading:

  • Strengthens your brain

  • Increases empathy

  • Reduces stress

  • Builds vocabulary

National University notes that reading improves memory, concentration, and stress levels, and may even slow cognitive decline over time.

Simply reading what you enjoy makes a difference.
