20 Reasons Why You Should Write Your Family Story stated that, "Family trees are abstract. Stories add depth."
So, let's dive in. Here are three steps with fun ways to share family stories about yourself and loved ones for generations to come.

Step one:
It may seem obvious, but you begin with yourself. Do your children and/or grandchildren, nieces and nephews, siblings and friends know about your life? Is there something they can learn from you? You'd be surprised how much your life can affect others.

Step two:
Ask questions. Here is a free questionnaire to use to ask your loved one about themselves. Written and oral interviews are a fun way to get to know the other person and a treasure to pass on to future generations.

Step Three:
Research stories and histories of those who have past and write it down. Keep memories alive by collecting them online through platforms such as FamilySearch, Ancestry.com, and MyHeritage.
