'Tis the Season for Great Book Recommendations

Let the season begin! Okay, so I may have set up my Christmas tree a week or two before Thanksgiving, you can't blame a girl; it's cold, and nothing says it's time for Christmas like a change in the weather. Along with cold weather comes fireplaces, warm blankets and cozy books. Sitting next to a fireplace and reading a Christmas book, is by far my favorite winter activity. What's your favorite Christmas book? Here is a list of some of ours aurhors' Christmas book recommendations.

Author Tracy Daley:

Tracy Daley recommends The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson, How to Catch a Snowman by Adam Wallace, and Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright.

Nothing says Christmas like seeing a bunch of children act out the nativity scene, learning about the kindness of others as they save to give to those in need in Christmas Jars, or seeing the snowman you built run away right before your eyes in How to Catch a Snowman.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, by Barbara Robinson

Christmas Jars, by Jason F. Wright.

How to Catch a Snowman, by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton

Author Brooke Winmill:
Brooke's favorite Christmas books range from Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol to A Country Christmas, from the Timeless Regency Collection by Josie S. Kilpack, Carla Kelly and Jennifer Moore.

Who doesn't love the epic transformation of Scrooge? Not to mention the kindness of the Cratchit family or a touching regency period Christmas?

A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens

A Christmas Country, by Josie S. Killpack, Carla Kelly and Jennifer Moore

Author Tracy Smith:
Tracy recently read a sweet Christmas romance, Christmas Baggage, by Deborah M. Hathaway. Picture a classic meet-cute: an American girl meets her dream guy while traveling to London to visit her friend, though she didn't realize it at first.

If you are looking for a deeper meaning behind Christmas, Tracy recommends Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler's book, Celebrating a Christ-Centered Christmas: Children's Edition. I love reading this one with my kids and talking about the symbolism and importance of Christmas.
